“Our three girls have grown up playing at the park. We have so many fond memories: from the first time when we came (more than 10 years ago) and our oldest (then only) daughter played “restaurant,” selling burgers, fries and milkshake (translation: mulch, pine straw and sand), to “riding the dragon”, hanging upside down on the ladders, and “earthquakes” on the wobbly play equipment, and birthday parties at the covered shelter with enough space for all guests to spread out, run around, and find something fun to play with under their parents’ watchful eye. As our family grew, we especially liked that there were swings for both older children and younger ones, who need more chair support when swinging. And now we enjoy the trails that are behind the park as well. Knowing the history of the park and the foundation’s goals to accommodate children of all abilities makes coming to the park even more special.”
